Get to see a bird’s eye view of the emerald Torrey Pines Golf Course, stunning mansions along the cliffs, and miles of dramatic coastline. Any age can fly with us and our instructors are available 7 days a week!

How it Works:

1. On a day you’d like to fly, we’ll check the weather to determine if we are flying tandems. We prefer winds coming from the west at 7+ mph. Torrey Pines is lucky enough to enjoy flyable weather about 300 days out of the year, so there’s a good chance we will be flying! If it’s flyable, then come on by.
2.  Do THE PAPERWORK  – When you arrive, you’ll do the legal and video waivers, which takes about 10 minutes. Then, you’ll complete a one-page, temporary membership application to the Torrey Pines Gliderport flight school. When you’ve finished the paperwork, you’ll pay for your flight and then go meet your tandem pilot! Your pilot will give you some basic ground instruction, and you’re off!
3. FLY – You’ll enjoy an incredible 20-25 minute flight over the beautiful Torrey Pines coastal cliffs. You’ll get a bird’s eye view of the emerald Torrey Pines Golf Course, stunning mansions along the cliffs, and miles of dramatic coastline. When it’s over, you’ll land right back where you took off. Sometimes the winds get light, and when they do, you’ll land safely on famous Black’s Beach for a quick 15-minute hike, back to the top of the cliff.
